Introducing our latest publication
Bumbling Bill, A Day Full of Slope is about the day in the life of a quirky character, Bill, whose farm is on the side of a hill. Because of this he finds himself in all sorts of mishaps: his animals tumble down the hill, breakfast goes horribly awry and he nails down furniture just so it will stay put. The story is written in rhyming verse which is sure to please the ear as the full color illustrations do the eye. In one scene the author using clever word play and sequenced sounds describes Bill caring for his sheep. "After his meal he must go feed the sheep/ But finds them all jumbled up in a heap/ A three deep heap, piled up in their pen/ To let the lambs roam he opens the gate/ Finds the slant of the hill is just too great/ Through the gate head over hoof went all ten." We invite you to join Bill in A Day Full of Slope to see what happens in an "ordinary" day as he copes with life on a slope.
LIFE LESSON: As Bill knows, it is not what happens to us that marks character, but how we handle it. This story gives children, and adults, insight into getting past everyday frustrations in life due to our situation in order to focus on the bigger picture and what's really important.
God bless you. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
